If I choose to test, what areas or items should be tested?

Any components or items that are a different color of paint and where paint is going to be disturbed should be tested. If the components are part of an “Integrated whole” like stair treads and risers of a single staircase, testing is only required on one of the individual components, unless they are a different color or finish.
